LRB Trophies Will be attending the SELBY JOBS FAIR offering FREE CV help and guidance.
For the 3rd year in a row, Business Partner, Steve Butler will be giving up his time to help Job seekers. Using his previous management and recruitment experiance, he will offer tips and guidance on CV’s. He will take in current CV’s and give his honest opinion to see if it can be improved or changed. Some basic errors are made such as not putting on a contact number or having it run over to 4 or 5 pages.

Following last years event, Mr Adams said: “It was fantastic, the best Jobs Fair we’ve had yet” – “The first person came in at 9.15am, and the first person to tell us they had an interview lined up was at 9.25am. We also had a lady who secured a job on Thursday and started on Friday.” Mr Adams said there was a correlation between the lower attendance at this year’s jobs fair and the reduction in unemployment since last year, but said he would continue to hold the events until they were no longer needed. He said: “The previous events have been a real success, but there was great feedback from jobseekers and employers who were impressed with the quality of candidates.” Unemployment in Selby and Ainsty is down by over 45% since the last election and successes at this years Jobs Fair have contributed to the jobless total falling especially youth unemployment which is down by over a third since 2010. Companies at Nigel’s 2013 Jobs Fair included Marks & Spencer, John Lewis Partnership, Heineken, Caddick Construction, Drax Power, Lindum Construction, Shepherd Construction plus many others.
